Employee-led Initiatives

It’s no secret that Blackbaud employees care a lot about giving back.  Each day, we interact with more the 1,000 organizations around the world, helping them make the most of technology to deliver on their missions. This interest in serving nonprofits isn’t confined to the work day. We also give freely of our time and skills outside of our “regular” jobs.
  
One way we do that is through Team Blackbaud. Every employee who volunteers in any way is automatically considered a part of our corporate volunteer corps. Leadership teams in each of our offices form the backbone of this volunteer-led effort, hosting opportunities for others to get involved (and catch the volunteer bug)!
  
One member from each office (plus a representative of our 200+ remote folks) serves on Team Blackbaud Global, which works with Corporate Relations & Philanthropy to represent the employee perspective and select our employee volunteer grant recipients.

Team Blackbaud is an example of grassroots volunteerism at its best. Individual people donate their time and effort to encourage other employees to get involved, experiencing first-hand the many rewards each of us receives from serving others.

Team Blackbaud Cambridge is proud to support the Everybody Wins Power Lunch, a reading and mentoring program that matches elementary school students with volunteers from nearby businesses.  Reading mentors meet with students once a week during lunch to read a book together.  We talk with students and read aloud while the kids eat their lunch. This simple interaction is a wonderful way to encourage and promote the many benefits of reading. » Read More
